LimeLight is excited to announce the launch of its new non-latex sponge, Blenderful! Half egg-shape, half wedge with great "squeezability," this sponge is super-versatile! Its pointed and angled edges can be used to cover blemishes, reach the corners of the eyes, and cover around the nose; while the flat bottom can be used on larger areas such as the face, neck, and décolletage.

Class of 2015!!

I am now apart of the class of 2015 at Montgomery College with an Associates Degree in General Studies.  I am so proud of myself!  It was a long time coming but I made it!

Leading up to graduation I was excited but then didn't feel like it was a big deal until I was putting that cap on my head. I was in the gym bathroom with a couple of other ladies and we all just kinda of started at ourself in the mirror and smile. I finally broke the silence and said, "Ladies, we did it!" and we all laughed! The day was long but so rewarding.

Why does bridal makeup cost so much??

You've probably just gotten engaged. You already know who's in your wedding party and have an appointment to meet with your wedding venue and florist.

I know you're currently deciding if you're wearing your hair up or down or straight or curly. But what you do have to put at the top of the list is your wedding day makeup. You're looking at wedding makeup artist sites, mine including and wondering, "Why does it cost so much??"

Dee of DeeVa Beauty has a blog post about the break down of wedding day makeup to help you understand.

Beauty Tips That Was Learn at Bridal Fashion Week!

This season at Bridal Fashion Week, make up artist and hairstylist were asked what their best kept beauty secrets just for wedding day makeup.  Here are a few tips.

  1. Use a setting powder one shade darker than your skin.  Many brides use a powder that is too light for their skin. Using a darker one will just give you a bit of extra color says makeup artist Vivian Martin at Clair Pettibone.
  2. Pale pink isn't only for nails. Pick a shade that matches your personality. Failsafe, feminine options are shades of pink and blush. If your dress has red in it, wear red says manicurist Julie Kandalec at Neema Khan.
  3. An updo is a foolproof way to look regal on your big day. "Wearing your hair up exudes confidence and last a long time, too" says hairstylist Joseph DiMaggio at Neema Khan.
  4. Let your dress be the focal point of your look. "You spend so much time finding the perfect gown, so you don't want your makeup to overshadow it" says makeup artist Daniel Martin at Neema Khan. You can have a bold look but be sure not to take the focus of YOU.
  5. Focus on making your skin look perfect. "You don't want to look like you're wearing a full face of makeup.." says makeup artist Talia Sparrow at Jenny Packham. Focus on your skin. Make it look very fresh and clean.
